Missions
Jesus died for the sins of the whole world (John 3:16; 1 Timothy 1:15; 1 John 2:2). For this reason Jesus sent his disciples to preach the Gospel to all nations (Matthew 28:19). Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church takes this command of Jesus seriously. In addition to faithfully preaching the Gospel that Jesus won free forgiveness through his death and resurrection every week here in Ottumwa, we also support missions throughout Iowa, the United States, and the world. Check out missions we support and learn how you too can support the proclamation of the Gospel to the nations!
Sunday School Missions
Even Jesus' littlest lambs can help proclaim His Name to the nations! Supporting an LHF mission project gives children the opportunity to learn about their brothers and sisters in Christ, who just happen to live halfway around the world. Just $5 can provide a Small Catechism or children's Bible story book to a child in his own language! Our Sunday School and VBS offerings go to support missions through Lutheran Heritage Foundation.
Lutheran education is an important part of the mission of the Church, to prepare future generations to confess and defend the saving faith and to pass it on to their children. Luther Classical College is a worthy mission project for an individual or congregation. Find out more at lutherclassical.org.
