Our Pastor
Pastor James Preus grew up in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He is the son of a Lutheran Pastor. He earned his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Minnesota in Morris and his Masters of Divinity at Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary in St. Catharines, Ontario. On July 12, 2015 Pastor Preus was ordained into the Office of the Holy Ministry and installed as pastor of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ottumwa, Iowa. Pastor Preus is married to Theresa Preus. Together they have six children. Preus and his family are very happy to serve the people of Trinity Lutheran and to be part of the Ottumwa community. Pastor Preus enjoys reading and discussing theology, singing, and spending time with his wife and children. You can read or listen to Pastor Preus' sermons online here.
